Comments:
This is a very enjoyable book which has forced me to add this series into my "read when you have time" list. This is essentially a cold case murder mystery story and although there are many of these about, this one caught me for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it came highly recommended by a person who has enjoyed lots of the same thriller/mystery books as I have, and he like the fact that it was set in the Lake District near to him. Secondly, the character development in excellent in this book, in fact, if there was a formula of parts in a novel (introduction, characters, history, main plot, hunt for the killer etc) then the percentages of these parts in this book are all different to usual which makes it different...and in a good way. I am looking forward to seeing how these characters develop in the second book, even though I have no idea when I will finally get around to reading it.
